We were taken to this fabulous secret garden the other day - we don't want to tell you where it is or it would no longer be a secret - but maybe you have already discovered it? ….

LFW round up
We've had a busy fashion week and decided to post bits over the next week about all the fun things we did!
To start off the series, we attended the Felicities Press Zone at the luxurious (and a stone's throw away from Somerset House) Waldorf Hilton.
We were greeted by the lovely team and entered the press room which included goodies from Cocoa Amore, Pop Chips, Happy Kitchen and delicious drinks from Ish Gin and The Berry Co.
We were so impressed by the beautiful jewellery display placed on the fireplace, and even more impressed by the talent these emerging designers have.
See for yourself below -

Pearly
This collection was one of my favorites! Pearly collection encapsulates elegance and class but with a modern take for the modern woman. While many emerging jewellery brands believe bigger is better, Pearly refines this notion and turns it into beautifully crafted pieces. The gems are gorgeous!
Gia Belloni
Another one of my absolute favorites from the event was Gia Belloni, inspired by bees, offers a unique approach to jewellery with statement pieces that are also delicate and feminine. Her pieces compliment any outfit and add an extra unique touch.

Stunning start to LFW
To kick off London Fashion Week the Felicities team along with their 21 designers created an incredible exhibition in collaboration with the ME London hotel titled 'Felicities Presents...#me@MELondon'
The exhibition features a variety of artwork and installations created by the designers that are either inspired by their SS14 collections or their brand aesthetics. The cutting edge hotel designed by Foster & Partners provides the perfect setting for such a stunning exhibition of emerging designers work. Starting in the main lobby the artwork then continues into the elevators ( in the form of printed lift vinyls - amazing) and up to the dramatic atrium in which there are further installations including mannequins that are suspended from the glass roof.
We absolutely adored the whole exhibition, and totally recommend that you go see it before it finishes on the 30th of September!
Also make sure you pick up one of the brochures (placed around the hotel) in which you can find more information about the brands involved including twitter etc... And also to find out how to win a goody bag from one of the designers by taking a selfie next to the art work!
The designers participating are - Ada Zanditon, Ada + Nik, BasharatyanV, Beautiful Soul London, Cardinal of London, David Longshaw, Gia Belloni, Imogen Belfield, Jenny Schwarz, Julia Burness, linnie mclarty, Little Shilpa, Milena Kovanovic, Orschel - Read, Paola Balzano, Pearly, phannatiq, Pinucci, Shanti Sundays and Tramp in Disguise!
See some pictures of our favourite installations and art work below!

Vintage: A Never Ending Debate
There has been an undeniable surge in the popularity of vintage shops and clothing, but has the art of thrift shopping been exploited for commercial use?
I'm sure anyone who is passionate about fashion knows the feeling of elation when you find a unique gem through the dusty rails of an independent vintage shop that fits. The experience (and at times, a very difficult one) is meant to be unique and fulfilling, but we can't help but notice that high streets corporations are now stocking vintage ranges -- making it difficult for genuine vintage shops to stay afloat in this poor economic climate.
Companies such as Rokit and Beyond Retro have been expanding throughout the years steadily as vintage fashion has become a huge trend, but have prices gone up due to its popularity? The argument continues as some debate that the clothing is in poor condition.
Topshop and Urban Outfitters offer a selection of vintage pieces in the shop floor for moderate, higher end high street prices, but this doesn't mean we should turn our cheek to the independent businesses who pioneered the idea of treasuring previously owned gems and sharing them with the world.

Sass & Bide moves from London to New York
Australian label Sass & Bide are moving fashion week cities!
This aesthetic-led label was founded in 1999 by designers and friends Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke when they began to sell customised jeans in a Portobello Road Market stall. Clearly inspired by the Portobello Road area, the duo were motivated by a mutual love of vintage clothing.
The talented duo are opening their first American store in New York's SoHo and will now be showing at New York Fashion Week -- and fittingly so.
Veterans to London Fashion Week, their last [Autumn/Winter 2013] collection featured structural, monochrome pieces with bursts of yellow that was acclaimed to be their best yet by some. There has been a mixed response regarding the change of location, but we're personally supporters of the business venture; New York is a key fashion capital and we have no doubt that the city will treat them well.
The pair describe London as their ''heartland'' and promise fans and followers that they will be back soon.
We can't wait to have you back in the UK, ladies.

Cara Delevingne in GTA V
Supermodel Cara Delevingne is set to star as a DJ in forthcoming video game, Grand Theft Auto V, following in the footsteps of fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld.
Previously, Karl Lagerfeld selected his favourite dance and electronica tracks to be played on a radio station while you drive around in the game along with ''politically incorrect'' commentary.
Earlier today, she posted the picture below along with the big announcement.
Cara is quite the character herself, so we're excited to see what songs she selected for the highly anticipated video game!
Massively successful video game series Grand Theft Auto has been known to provide incredible soundtracks, so it is no surprise she will be reincarnated as a virtual DJ, especially as she has mentioned that she intends to pursue a career in the music industry.
