Hello all!
Tabitha and I were fortunate enough to be invited to see the 'David Bowie is' exhibition at the V&A!
While we've been dedicated fans for years, this exhibition was stunningly curated in a way that could turn a non-believer; from stage sets, to outfits, to his art, the exposition immerses the crowd into the fantasia that is David Bowie.
It is clear that Bowie was much more than a singer, but a performer: a true artist. This vast retrospective delves into the method behind his madness, showcasing his instruments and personal lyric books, all going as far back as the sixties when he had just started playing music in The Konrads.
So, how did David Bowie come up with all those odd phrases he used in his songs? We were surprised to know that he and a friend created a computer program in order to spout his lyrics! Bowie would type phrases, passages and literature into the computer and the program would choose words at random until he found a sentence he liked.
As a whole, this exhibit was crafted in such a way that left visitors (including us!) absolutely stunned and we would recommend it to anyone!
