London Fashion Week so far

Hello all! We've been really busy with the hysteria that is fashion week, as I'm sure you all know. Tallulah and I have seen some great shows over the past three days; here are a few snaps...

JENA THEO A/W '13

This collection was stunning and colourful: there was a combination of box-like top-dresses and feminine silhouettes which created a good balance to pair with the splash of colours and solid black. We especially wanted to snatch the shoes the models were wearing!

BELLE SAUVAGE A/W '13

The garments in this collection ranged from print-y, to monochrome, to textural, but it all worked very well together. Belle Sauvage always caters to ready-to-wear fashion which makes her collections all the more appealing to everyday girls like us! Our favourite look above is Look 2 (from the left) - the printed, yellow sweater paired with the chiffon-trimmed black leather skirt is effortlessly chic.

LIZ BLACK A/W '13

The theme for this showcase was Alice in Wonderland's mad tea party. Although the collection wasn't the best, the execution and entertainment factor of the show was very original. The red dress was beautiful!

Hope everyone is having a fun LFW!

NYFW menswear favourites

As we prepare to kick off London Fashion Week, we are taking a look back at some of the best collections New York Fashion Week offered...

RAG AND BONE A/W '13

This collection captured the best of the military colour trend: metallics were mixed with taupe as textures and fabrics were thrown in the mix for a post-modern, organic feel.

BAND OF OUTSIDERS A/W '13

The pieces in this collection were one of the most wearable we saw this season; the suits were tailored to a relaxed but skinny fit and the colours were warm. Though this collection didn't feature wacky or innovative pieces that viewers would expect from fashion week, timeless looks will always be in style.

PERRY ELLIS BY DUCKIE BROWN A/W '13

We especially liked this show! The mundane, paisley print matched with the charcoal suit pants compliment the taupe shirt underneath. We're big fans of a man who can wear prints with confidence!

NYFW womenswear favourites

While New York Fashion Week is coming to an end, Tabitha & I picked our some of our favourite looks from this season's shows.

VERA WANG A/W '13

Slimming silhouettes and textures seemed to prevail Vera's catwalk this season; electric colours and prints complimented these aesthetics.

J MENDEL A/W '13

This collection showed the dark and romantic counteracted by feminine and light-hearted: delicate fur tops were paired with sharp leather pants and white, sequined dressed were balanced with long, mahogany knee-high boots. Evening wear included a sensual, gathered burgundy dress. Beautiful!

CUSHNIE ET OCHS A/W '13

These designs are absolutely gorgeous, alluding to the cut-out trend that seems to be popular among the fashion world as of late. Love the velvet!

THOM BROWNE A/W '13

Thom Browne's pieces are eccentric as always but classic in a sense; exaggerated silhouettes and theatrics make for a stunning and eye-popping collection.

Kaffe Fassett Exhibition

After visiting the Hartnell to Amies exhibition, we are extremely excited to go to the next exhibition which is Kaffe Fassett.

We love his beautiful knit wear!

As this is going to be his first exhibition since 1988, we definitely will not be missing it.

Kaffe Fassett is an interesting character therefore we're certain the exhibition will be nothing short of amazing!

The exhibition opens on 22nd March.
