On Tuesday me and Tullulah took a visit to Fashions Night Out, after receiving an invitation to the event. It was apparently going to involve loads of designers, a free drink on arrival etc. Yet to our disappointment the whole event was actually a scam.
When we arrived at the event we were shocked how cramped the room was. All the designers could not fit in which resulted into many of them being left on the street. After standing around for a while we were asked to come back later as they still was not ready for visitors.
When we returned to the event, we discovered that a majority of designers had left as the organizer had not payed for the venue. Resulting in it having to be closed.
We talked to a couple of the designers who had told us they had traveled quite far from places such as Reading.
All around disappointing evening for both attendees and designers.

Peter Pilotto SS13
Monday of LFW started off with us going Peter Pilotto at the Topshop Space!
The design duo of Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos showcased their signature colourful, clashing prints with a collection of silk dresses, structured peplums and tailored trousers.
We adored the use of embellishment and jewel tones throughout the show. See some of our favourite pieces from the show below -

Felicities Press Day
So in-between our catch up on LFW I am going to be writing about some of the press days that we have attended!
Last week Tabitha and I popped down to visit the girls at Felicities. They have lots of really amazing London based emerging designers and we loved seeing all of the new SS13 collections!
Please see some of our favorite pieces from the showroom below -
David Longshaw was the first brand to catch our eye in the showroom. We loved the colourful prints featuring sandcastles and planes! David's latest characters to join Maude and Doris are Eva and Doug. You can see a super cute film about them HERE.
We had spotted Imogen Belfield in Rock Vault this season and adored her pieces , so we were keen to get another close look at them! Imogen casts the pieces using porcelain which is then dipped into metal meaning that every piece is unique.Take a look at her website for more information and images HERE.
NeobotanicFashion is a new brand at Felicities, the collection comprises of lots of amazing colourful prints. One of my favourite looks was a gorgeous pale blue print trouser suit that I adored! Other pieces included tops, shirts and really pretty fifties style dresses.See more of the gorgeous pieces HERE.
Beautiful Soul is a very English ethical brand. The pieces that particularly stood out to us were the pink lace ones including this stunning trench coat above! The entire collection is really feminine and we loved the daisy prints. Also the girls at Felicities told us the designer Nicola has just opened her own online store, so many lovely things to buy - so be sure to check it out HERE.
The Evmorfia SS13 collection is edgy and wearable, consisting of three colours - black, white and a salmon pink. We have come across Evmorfia before at Felicities and we are always in awe of her beautiful leather jackets. The one in the image above is our favourite so far! She also has some stunning evening dresses you can see more images of the collection HERE.
Vita Gottlieb is another new brand to Felicities. The collection is inspired by travel and alternative culture which you can really see through the pieces. The different textures of the pieces were amazing and I couldn't stop myself from touching the variety of beautiful fabrics. One of our favourite pieces was the shoulder piece in the image above which was stunning. See more images HERE.
I am a massive fan of taxidermy so I was so excited to see the Mr Woods collection! Inspired by the Edwardian and 1920's era's Loren Wood creates stunning and unusual bespoke millinery. The piece in the image above is 'Keith' he is a bearded dragon sitting perfectly on a pearl silk hat with a silk lining. Mr Woods has to main collections - Firstly 'Hardy' which has quintessentially English feel and includes wood pigeons and hares. Secondly 'Epoque' which is the Edwardian inspired collection featuring exotic birds, tassels, beadwork and silk. See more pieces HERE.
Next up is Cardinal of London, another new brand at Felicities! This unique and bold jewellery brand has some gorgeous pieces. The piece in the image above was the first to catch our eyes! This stunning horse ring is apparently a replica of the original ' Black Sapphire Horse' which is a rhodium plated, silver engraved ring with black sapphire eyes! Some of our other favourite pieces were the Minotaur and Rosie Skull Rings! See more information HERE.
I came across Sew Lomax in Reveal Magazine the day before going into showroom - so it was great to see the pieces in real life! The brand includes makeup bags, toiletry bags, tote bags and purses! Each have gorgeous embroidered designs on front, including lipsticks, nailvarnishes and cupcakes! They are soo cute, and make the perfect Christmas gifts! Check out the website HERE.
Last but not least Julia Burness! Having previously fallen in love with her Lost Lace collection it was great to see her new pieces. The new Alchemy collection consists casts of a bird skull (that we were informed the designer found on a country walk) that have been made into stunning double rings, bangles and pendants. My favourite was the double skull pendant in black rhodium and rose gold! See more images HERE.

KTZ SS13
After seeing the beautiful Bora Aksu show and visiting all the lovely designers in the exhibition space within Somerset House, it was time to see the KTZ show!!
We ADORED the KTZ SS13 collection! The collection comprised of three main colours, black, white and pale pastel pink. The mix of leather, lace and transparent fabrics were gorgeous and we particularly loved the pearl tones against the harsh black.

Bora Aksu SS13
So starting with the first show we saw this season - the gorgeous Bora Aksu!
The show was a perfect start to our LFW season being in the main courtyard space at Somerset House and we both couldn't wait to get in and see the show!
The SS13 collection was inspired by Queen Victoria's granddaughter Marie and featured feminine silhouettes, primary colours and gorgeous knitted crowns. We especially loved the layering of transparent fabrics and the stunning prints.
The show itself was beautiful and left us both feeling very romantic and whimsical!
